“As my 20th year as race director draws to a close, I look back on 2009, grateful and impressed by the number of enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who work on the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
"Please take a moment to visit the following Web page: www.ChicagoMarathon.com/ThankYou. It is our way of praising your efforts throughout the year and highlighting how your hard work, time and spirit makes the Bank of America Chicago Marathon the successful tradition that it is.”
2009 ERC Volunteers Have Fun at the Chicago Marathon!
If you missed it this year, be sure to join us in 2010, when BofA will continue the great tradition of the Chicago Marathon. We gear up in Spring to be the crew captains for Aid Station #12.
239 volunteers helped out at Aid Station #12 at the 2009 Chicago Marathon, lead by the Evanston Running Club, with Coach Vinny Finneran's ETHS Cross Country Wildkits on the GatorAde stop and the CURE JM Team and Rolling Meadows High School kids on the water stop. We start before day-break and leave the site around 1:00 that afternoon - a hard day's work!
34 ERC runners ran in 2009... many congratulations to them all for seriously hard training and incredible fortitude over all the months leading up to and on the big day!
