1ST ANNUAL CHILI RUN & PARTY
Nancy and Carle Rollins resurrected a terriific event from the "old days" of ERC - i.e., before 1990! - and invited us all to their home and neighborhood for the 1st Annual Modern-Day Chili Run. What a time we had... almost 30 entrants for the Predictor Run, major awards and ribbons, wonderful chilis and great conversation!
Rol set up a 4-mi course around the neighborhood - a double loop from in front of their home - people put down their expected time and off they went. Rol then calculated the difference between Said and Done, proclaiming Chuck Janczy
and Susan Lamon as the overall Male and Female winners, with deviations of 1-minute and 1:33, respectively... not as easy as you might think, especialy when Keith Burns sped out of the gate and beat his own prediction by 2:44.
