•Races these days are very well organized, well attended and fun for adults and kids of all ages… more bang for the bucks than some movie or a trip to Great America!
And this year we are introducing THE ERC "FUN RUN CIRCUIT" designed to: Read more about the whole idea, HERE, including the list of races, why we're so fired up, the "rules" (HA! There are none to speak of!) and get ready to strap up your racing boots 
The Chicago Area Runners Association also holds a team competition for which even the slowest among us can score points for themselves or the Club... and since everything is age-group adjusted, there are plenty of chances to win hardware.

•Here are the ERC CARA Race Results for 2007. Two things may strike you: 1) we have some very fast folks and 2) some of our not-so-fast folks do pretty well, in their age groups! See how you might stack up against your fellow members and others on the circuit... you may be pleasantly surprised 
In 2007, eight of our members placed in the top three of their age groups in the CARA Circuit Competition. Here is a pic from the CARA 2007 Awards Banquet of ERC's age group winners for the ERC website... (L to R): Suresh De Costa, 2nd, M30-34; Kate Saccany, 3rd, F55-59; Christina Lundgren, 3rd, F14 and under; Jim Nelson, 3rd, M50-54; and Robert Lundgren, 2nd, Clydesdale Masters B Male; not attending were Keith Holzmueller, 2nd, M50-54, and Andy Schneider, 1st, M15-19; Nancy Rollins, 1st, F60-64, was named (a-gain!) the female senior runner of the year.
